GCC’s music recording and production certificate program is designed for students who want to enter the audio recording profession as producers, composers and sound designers. You’ll learn various studio recording techniques working with music industry standard production, mixing and editing software and with hardware like mixing boards, microphones and MIDI instruments. The curriculum includes an introductory business course, music courses and technical skills courses. You’ll also choose from electives that allow you to explore topics like American popular music, jazz improvisation and songwriting. 28credits Certificate Certificates are typically completed in one (1) year and designed for immediate workforce entry Learn more What's Next?The GCC music recording and production certificate program will prepare you for a career as a musician, producer and/or engineer. As a guitarist, singer, and songwriter he also records and performs extensively. His band, Swing Caravan, has won multiple awards and can be heard locally at festivals and the Iron Horse Music Hall. Matthew is a producer/engineer and studies the middle eastern oud.
