If you’re considering applying to the associate degree in nursing or the practical nursing certificate program at GCC or at another institution, you can complete your prerequisite courses with the pre-nursing certificate. In the program, you’ll take courses in biology, psychology, sociology and English composition. You’ll then be ready to apply to the associate degree in nursing or the practical nursing certificate program at GCC or at another institution. (Completing the pre-nursing certificate and passing the TEAS does not guarantee admission into a nursing program.) You’ll also be prepared to apply to other degree programs in the sciences or health care.
