With the certificate, you may work for yourself as a freelancer or a solopreneur, or you may find creative options with a start-up or small to midsize company. The work you produce in your courses can also become part of your portfolio if you decide to continue on to an associate degree or bachelor’s degree in art. The VAC is equivalent to most freshman foundation year experiences at an art school so this provides you the opportunity to transfer as a sophomore.
